The World Games 2025, Chengdu

The 12th edition of The World Games will take place from 7th to 17th August 2025. The host city will be the mega-city Chengdu in the People’s Republic of China. For the third time in the history of The World Games since 1981, the multi-sport event is a guest in Asia.

Taishan Sports, as a global top-level events service provider, will supply over ten thousand pieces of equipment for this event, covering 25 different sports such as wushu, karate, jujitsu, sambo, aerobics, trampoline, duathlon and more. Currently, the competition equipment has been largely installed and is undergoing intense on-site debugging.

The World Games is a multi-sport event for sports and disciplines that are not in the programme of the Olympic Games. It is held every four years and it is the international showcase that positions the world's best athletes, the host city and the partners and sponsors at the heart of world sport. 34 sports, 60 disciplines and 256 medal events have been chosen for The World Games 2025.

Chengdu, a city of 20 million people in the south-west of China, is the capital of Sichuan province and is well known for its Research Base for Giant Panda Breeding. Chengdu can refer to some experience in hosting multi-sport events. Chengdu organised the World Police and Fire Games in 2019 and the FISU World University Games in 2023. This time, Chengdu is ready to welcome friends from all over the world, and will deliver a wonderful Games featuring international standards, Chinese style and Chengdu characteristics, so as to jointly write a new chapter in the history of The World Games.
